Scope

LearnPod is an iPhone app that helps English learners study with podcasts. This policy explains what information the app handles, where that information is stored, and how it is used to provide playback, RSS publisher text, and review features.

This policy covers the LearnPod app and the LearnPod website. Podcast episodes, RSS publisher text, artwork, and audio files are provided by their respective publishers and hosting providers, whose own privacy practices may apply.

Information Stored On Your Device

LearnPod does not require an account. To make the app useful, it stores learning and playback state locally on your iPhone, including:

• Episode playback position, listening progress, and listen status
• Quiz questions, answer choices, selected answers, and review results
• Selected channels, shows, and app preferences
• Cached podcast metadata, episode artwork, audio references, and RSS publisher text

This local app data is not uploaded to LearnPod servers. If you delete LearnPod, iOS removes the app's local data unless it is restored later from a device backup that includes app data.

Network Activity

LearnPod uses the internet to load learning content and keep podcast information current.

• Podcast feeds and episode audio are downloaded from publishers or podcast hosts.
• Publisher text is read only from RSS metadata when present; LearnPod does not fetch publisher pages for transcript extraction.
• Artwork and metadata may be downloaded from publisher feeds and media hosts.
• The LearnPod website may receive ordinary web server logs needed to deliver the site.

These requests may reveal technical information such as your IP address, device network details, browser or app user agent, and request time to the publisher, host, or infrastructure provider that receives the request. LearnPod does not ask you to sign in to those publisher services, so we do not receive publisher account credentials from you.

Quizzes And Apple Intelligence Features

LearnPod is designed to unlock post-listening learning after you have listened to an episode. Quiz questions are generated in the app from episode titles, descriptions, and publisher text included in RSS feeds. LearnPod does not upload your listening progress or quiz answers to LearnPod servers for quiz generation.

Podcast chat features, where available, use Apple Foundation Models on supported iOS devices with Apple Intelligence enabled. The app may include your message, recent chat context, episode metadata, and publisher RSS text excerpts in the prompt sent to the on-device Apple model. Generated learning content is for study support and may be imperfect; use the original publisher material as the source of truth for episode content.

Information We Do Not Collect In The App

LearnPod does not collect the following inside the app:

• Name, email address, phone number, or account password
• Precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone recordings
• Advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking
• Payment card information

Background Audio And System Features

LearnPod uses iOS background audio so podcast playback can continue when the app is in the background or your screen is locked. Playback controls and now-playing information may appear in iOS system surfaces such as the Lock Screen, Control Center, and compatible audio interfaces.

Your Choices

You can control LearnPod data by managing the app on your device. You may delete cached learning data by deleting the app, and you can use iOS settings to manage cellular data, background activity, notifications if enabled, and app permissions.

Because LearnPod does not require an account, there may be no remote profile for us to export or delete. If you contact us by email, we will use your email address only to respond to your request and maintain ordinary support records.

Children's Privacy

LearnPod is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy when LearnPod changes or when legal, technical, or operational requirements change. When we update it, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
